I did manage to score a linen tweed Mica mini in weathered stone. The skirt is a great neutral beige with a bit gold thread to add sparkle. Prettier irl than online. I bought the size 0 and it is definitely a mini. I wouldn't go any shorter. The length is just pass were my thighs get a bit lumpy, thank god lol. It sits higher on the waist than a lot of JC minis. If they had one in stock, I probably could have sized up to a 2, worn it lower on the waist and gained a little length. I think this skirt will transition into to fall perfectly. Just add tights and boots.

Some of the other things I took to the dressing room...
Merino 4 pocket cardigan- I took the XS, it runs big and boxy. I would not even buy it on sale, it was so unflattering.
Shirred ruffles tank- Tried on the XS because there was no XXS in the store and it was huge! I had a fist full of extra fabric. I seriously doubt the xxs would even fit nicely. Ridiculous.
Cotton Strati tank- I tried on the 0 in ivory. The fabric and pleats are gorgeous, absolute love. Unfortunately here it comes again... I really needed to be able to size down. I wasn't so much wearing the tank as it was just sitting on the shoulders. Plus I had extra fabric sticking out under my arms. Such a shame.
Cotton ruffle swirl tank- Didn't love this one nearly as much as the Strati but same sizing story, runs a size big.
Destroyed Matchstick jeans- The good news is I can fit my butt into the matchsticks this season :D I could barely get a thigh in my regular size 26 in last year's dark rinse matchsticks. I tried on the light wash shown online and a blue wash. Both ran at least a size big. I took a 25 (pffft!) and still had a little room around the back of the waist. The blue rinse was the roomier of the two. I have to say that I felt the denim of both jeans looked and felt a bit.. cheap. The darker, blue pair were.... too blue if you know what I mean. The stone wash shown online had too much white threading for my taste. Both were too stretchy. The fit was pretty snug in the legs and I couldn't help thinking they looked like jeans a guy from an 80's hair band might wear lol.
Corsage tees- The corsage tees are back with new colors. Shocking pink, slate, fresh mint (aqua), and shell. It looks too me like this batch of corsage tees are more haphazardly made than the originals. I noticed MANY of the tees has bald spots in the petals. In my navy tee bought during the first roll out, the petals flow continuously from shoulder to chest. In these new tees, there is often a gap in the corsage right under the shoulder. I would advice checking your tee carefully before purchase to make sure you get a full and fluffy one. I bought a tee in shell on Saturday to wear with the Mica mini. I sized up to a small hoping the extra fabric would keep the tee from being sheer. When I got home I realized the chest was not see through but you could still be my belly button which I think is tacky. Also going up a size made the scoop neck too big, it was streching out everywhere. So, I ended up returning the tee today. I will wear my chiffon rose tee in shell with the skirt instead.
The last thing I wanted to buy from JC this weekend was the grey and white striped boatneck tee but none of the stores in my state had my size. The SA put in a Find it for me, so hopefully that will be arriving soon.
No Libretto necklace, cashmere, antique ruffle top, or pixie pants at my stores, bummer.
I also hit Anthropogie today. I'll have another post about my finds there.

I visited J.Crew last week and it was pretty empty too. They had some of the new things, but they were already picked over! I even went into the store to check out some of the jewelry, but they only had a couple of pieces left, nothing I had hoped to try on.
wow, that empty, huh? I actually haven't been to a B&M in over 3 weeks (sad that it's a record) and that one was in another state. I need to go do a return but maybe I'll wait. Then again, it would probably be good for my wallet to go while the store is less tempting...
Hope you love the mica mini - it is so cute!!
I visited Jcrew today and I was the only one in the store for a good 30mins. They had some great jewelry pieces for bargain prices, but not much else. I love the Mica mini; I have it in Navy, but might go back for the weathered stone as well - My store still had them in all sizes.
How funny--I tried on the new Corsage tee this weekend, too, and thought it was VERY strange that I could see the indentation of my belly button! What is with that?? LOL!
P.S. The boatneck tee is super snug. You might even be able to take a Small.
Sorry to hear that your store was so empty!
:( Bummer!
Can I ask you what store it was that had the watercolor pencil skirt in a size 10? TIA!
Petunia-Oh no I had her order the xs. She said it ran long and tts. :(
MMM- It was Bellevue, WA
Thanks Shannon! ;)
No problem, I hope I remembered the size correctly!
Ah, bummer. I have such a hard time going to brick & mortar stores- in fact, I haven't been in one for a few months- because all the girls here are seemingly all my size, so my size always sells out super fast. I have the best luck ordering everything online, although then I don't always get the best deals. :/
I'm glad you found a mica mini! I love mine!
There's no merch in the stores and at my local b&m customers have been asking if they're going out of business. I wonder what they are going to do since the rollout has been pushed back until 7/29. Maybe some things will begin to appear in stores earlier.
strati tank was a dig disappointment for me, too. Too much extra space in the neckline and armholes. I'd have to try a P0, but I don't want to gamble and lose shipping if it still doesn't fit right. :-/
hi! i was just wondering if you also saw the mica mini in fog (the collection piece). Is it different enough from the weathered stone to justify owning both? Thanks! :)
So strange that so many JC are empty!
Chloe- Omg I know. Seattle has a large Korean and Vietnamese population. A lot of these girls are small like me and have fabulous taste, so they snatch up all the good sh-t! Lol
Prim- Sorry I didn't see the collection mica mini
Gosh, my B&M is always SO CROWDED .... even on Sunday mornings and weeknights! There is only one JC within about an hour radius from me, so maybe that is why they are so crowded... plus the PS there are super nice!
Thanks for the mini-reviews of the items you tried on! Always helpful!
My store was fairly empty when I went in a few weeks ago. I was able to find one mica mini in 0, which I got, but that was pretty much it in the entire store in that size. I love the skirt, wish I'd been able to find a navy one too. I agree it will go into fall really well.
BTW, I have the boatneck stripe tee in an XS and it's fairly fitted IMO. I'm really quite petite (wear a 30B bra) so it might be a bit snug if you're much larger. In case anyone is wondering, I also ordered the Strati tank in a P0, which was huge on me, so I returned it. I don't know how much smaller it was than a regular 0 though.
Shoot I should have ordered the small boatneck. Oh well, I'll wait and see if it actually ships. I can always return.
Thanks for the thoughts on the petite strati tank!
Shannon~~Now that I think about it, the boatneck tee in S would probably be too long on you.
I really wanted it, but the problem for me was that it is very snug but also (as your SA stated) very long. The XS was comfy but just very snug, so I was worried about shrinkage. The S was slightly less snug but very long. I ended up just giving up on it. Hope you have better luck!
Ahhh I see, thanks so much Petunia! If the xs doesn't work then I'll just return and keep looking. It's too hot for long sleeves right now anyway and I'm sure we'll see loads of striped boatnecks for fall.
It's too bad that your shopping trip to JC wasn't all that thrilling, but, congrats on the lovely tweed Mica mini -- you will look incredible in it! I recently ordered the metallic Strati tank in my usual size 4, and now that I've read your review, I'm worried that I should have ordered a 2. The package is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, so, we shall see...Thanks for sharing all of the great info about your JC finds!
